Public Meeting: Marion Institute Info Session: Neighbors Feeding Neighbors

Friends of Plumb Library Meeting
The Friends of the Joseph H. Plumb Memorial Library are members of the Rochester, Massachusetts community who are avid library supporters and advocates for excellent library service. Friends work to raise funds to improve the library, help out by volunteering their time and talents, and spread the word about the library and its importance to each of us. Meetings are open and everyone is welcome!

Storytime isn't just for kids! Adults enjoy listening to stories, too. Sit back, relax, and be transported as Plumb Library Director, Kristen Cardoso, reads a short story aloud. Light refreshments will be served. Come share your favorite reads from the Massachusetts Center for the Book's 2026 Reading Challenge for Adults, or just come learn more about the challenge!

Women of '76: True Stories of Revolutionary-Era Women
This program highlights the true stories of Revolutionary-era women, including Prudence Cummings Wright, who organized and led a band of women to capture two Tory spies. Step back in time and discover the untold stories of 5 courageous women, both patriot and loyalist, American and foreign born, who witnessed, chronicled, and in some cases changed the course of the American Revolution.This program is presented in partnership with the Rochester Historical Society and is supported by a grant from the Rochester Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Bead Therapy Workshop with ZMakesBeads
Bead Therapy with ZMakesBeads is an expressive arts workshop that teaches participants the basics of beaded jewelry making and the difference between semi-precious stones and precious stones. The materials used are semi-precious stones and other natural jewelry materials. Semi-precious stones have been appreciated for generations for their unique beauty and healing and grounding properties. Participants will keep the pieces you make! 15 spots are available for ages 18+. This event funded by the Friends of Plumb Library.
