Friends of the Library Book Sale
The Friends of the Mattapoisett Library’s used Book Sale is on Saturday, April 11th, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Book donations will be accepted on Thursday, April 9th, and Friday, April 10th, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM in the library’s meeting room.Interesting in signing up to be a volunteer? Join K&A Creations for a step-by-step painting lesson on Tuesday, April 14th at 6 PM! Create a lovely lemon tree, or do your own thing! All materials are included. For adults 18 and up. Did you know April is “Financial Literacy Month”? On Saturday, April 18th, at 1 PM, First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union will be here with an Economic Empowerment Hour! This is an excellent opportunity for teens aged 12 to 18 to learn essential skills like budgeting, saving, and understanding credit. No need to register—just swing by for some expert advice to kick off your financial journey!

An Afternoon with Anita Diamant
Anita Diamant is the author of thirteen books, most recently Period. End of Sentence. A New Chapter in the Fight for Menstrual Justice. Her first novel, The Red Tent, a New York Times bestseller, has been published in more than 25 countries. Her other novels include The Boston Girl, Day After Night, The Last Days of Dogtown, and Good Harbor.Diamant is an award-winning journalist and author of six non-fiction guides to contemporary Jewish life, as well as a collection of essays. Her work has appeared in the Boston Globe Magazine, Real Simple, Parenting, and Boston Magazine. She is a regular contributor to Cognoscenti, WBUR-FM’s online ideas and opinion page.
