The bookmobile will be making monthly visits to the Fall River Public School System throughout the 2025-2026 school year! During these visits, students with SAILS library cards are invited to board the Bookmobile and choose 1-2 books to check out for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, the Bookmobile will come back to their school so they can return their books and pick out new ones. Please ensure that your child brings their library card and returns to school on the day of their scheduled visit to ensure they can participate in the program!There are two ways that you can get your child a library card in preparation for these visits. You can fill out the online application via your ParentSquare account. Once you submit the form, your child’s school will send it to the Bookmobile librarian who will then drop their card off at their school. Or, you can visit the Fall River Public Library and fill out an application in person in the Children’s Department. The Fall River Public Library invites all photography enthusiasts to join our new Photography Group.On the last Wednesday of each month, participants will share their work, provide feedback, and join in open discussion about the wonderful art of photography! A monthly, optional theme will be picked at random to help inspire and prompt our members to make new and exciting work to share each session. Participants are asked to bring in a thumbdrive of their work, with a selection of 5-10 photos, if they intend to share with the group that month.While we gladly accept photographers at all stages of their journeys, the Photography Group does not offer photography lessons. We do encourage our participants to ask questions about photography, and to share tips and tricks they’ve learned with each other.This program is intended for photographers ages 13 and up.
